ok, I have read many postings on this one and have become a little stuck.

I have got the ribbon problem by the looks of it, were all the buttons on the steering wheel decide not to work. However they do if you turn the wheel on full lock to the right???
I have taken the wheel off including the aluminium housing and have removed the nut to the rack. However, how do you separate the cover to get at the coiled up ribbon inside the main housing. Mine will not come apart and I cannot, and I am scared to stick a big screw driver into prise it apart. I am obviuosly doing something wrong.
Any ideas on how to separate and gain access to the ribbon inside.

Also can you only obtain the ribbon from TVR or any other suppliers??? How much for these???

Thanks in anticipation.

Kind Regards

Dean

with the big nut lose/removed from the steering coloumn screw the wheel back onto its mount. then wiggle from side to side and put at the same time and it should come off. p.s remember which way round the ribbon cable goes when re fitting.

You're busy tonight.

As far as I know you can buy a new ribbon to replace the bad one.

Never had the problem myself so can't offer any advice but search the archives, plenty have had this.
