Ammunition Needed!!
Discussion
Just been out for for a meal with one of my customers from work, who likes to give me some stick for driving a TVR. He brought in a 'TVR Repair Kit' with all of the following included.
1 length of thick twine - to tie something back on
1 section of webbing - you never know when you need some more fibre glass
1 piece of foam - for bunging up holes, or for more comfortable seats
1 piece of pvc - mock leather patch (yellow)
1 Section of Velcro - The main stay of TVR technology
Webbing Various - Carpet edges, seatbelts etc
Bobbin of Thread - Whole car will be tied together at some point
Nut and bolt - The only type used in the whole car, order a large supply, as they drop off regulary
Large paper clip - Lots of things you can connect using these
Elastic Band - Throttle Spring return mechanism
Nail file - Spark plug cleaning device for when the engines off tune again.
Conclusion - Buy a Mercedes as soon as possible.
Obviously I need to retalliate to this pi$$ taking of my pride and joy, thought that you lot on here might be able to give some ammunition to fire back at him!!
He drives a Mercedes C220 Coupe Diesel Automatic and has a Triumph Daytona 955i Motorbike.
Any ideas ??

He won't be laughing if its a new Merc - they're terrible for faults. A neighbour sold his brand new one after a year due to the unreliability. He was finally finished off when the electric seats started adjusting themselves as he drove along (without touching the buttons).
Older ones were much better!

On a slight diversion...
what would you experienced owners reckon as being the minimum to carry on a modest journey?
An AA card.
But if you want to do the work yourself, I usually have the following.
Torch, jump leads, socket set, tyre pressure gauge, brake fluid, oil, screwdriver set, couple of tyre foam cannisters, wheel nut bar, tape.

Had the AA card, needed it the day I bought my first Cerbera but not since.
All the above items went into a duffle bag which sat nicely in the corner with
these additional items: Water, foot pump, fuse set and a list of friendly Cerbera
experts.

Depends on how well you know and like this chap.
If it was one of my closest friends and they can take a really bad taste joke, like only good friends can
, then I'd get him a donor card to carry in his leathers for the Daytona.

No hate mail from bikers please, read it in the context it was meant

Think nothing of it.
Whilst you were out enjoying the thrill of driving the Tiv he was out in a diesel coupe shopping for general / miscellaneous strange parts. Just think of the looks he got on that day compared to you out driving in the Tiv.
A diesel coupe? What was he after 'performance looks' with economy???
Anyway based upon that shopping list the police have probably got a close eye on him now!

Hmmm, a spare battery, a spare alternator, a spare alternator belt, a spare clutch, a spare alternator belt, a 250-peice tool kit, a jack and two jack stands, a spare alloy with tyre, a spare ecu, a spare ignition control box, a spare window control box, a spare alternator big fuse, a spare relay, a 25 peice fuse kit, some radiator leak filler, a bottle of clutch fluid, a spare rope, a spare umbrella (with tvr logo), a spare torch, some spare headlight bulbs, a spare throttle cable, a spare throttle pedal assembly, a few spare jumbo clips - it'll be a tight squeeze, but you could fit all that in the boot and get some much needed traction too - or you can get your other half to drive in front with all the gear in the daily runner (not behind you, bad mistake!)....
