Tvr Cerb at Fernhurst

Just noticed the Silver TVR Cerb back on sale after a short time (about 4 months) at www.Fernhurst-tvr.co.uk for just under £21k
S17 TVR

Does anyone know about this car and why its back up for sale so quickly ?

Interesting thing is, if you look at the photos, there are two different cars ;-)

One is a post 2000, the other pre, check the seats/headrests and the headlights.

You'll also note the different wheels, and slightly different shade of silver.

I think Fernies have just got their pcitures mixed up, as if you look at the one above it you'll notice the main picture is the same.

I actually saw this car in the flesh yesterday. VERY clean indeed. 52,000 miles tho, a little more than I would want on a 21k 4.2.

I was looking at another car there, but had a look around that silver one.

Did you see my blue one in bits in the workshop? Should be all back together this afternoon... or tomorrow. Or the next day. Or a week on Friday

Lovely Maser in your profile and see that you loaned your car to Evo for the article! Presumably you agree with the result of the Evo test seeing that you are now looking to step into Cerbie ownership?!

I have been looking at 3200s for a long time, love the boomerang lights and the GT capability. There are always a handful lurking around the £25K mark but I have heard of the horror stories about some of the campaigns not being done and buying out of the dealer network... Going to test an asseto corsa next w/e but at £30K it is stretching the budget...

I'd say the Fernies car is a good buy, I'm not worried by mileage, at least you know it's sorted - of course this doesn't mean it won't have some problems shortly after you buy it, but that's true of any Cerbera - it just comes with the territory.

I am waiting for a call from Bryan this arvo, Al. He says it will be either late today or tomorrow. I am keeping my fingers crossed that tomorrow it will be, as I want to take it up to Birmingham on Thursday. I've been waiting 4 & an alf months, I am sure I can wait another day!!!!

I owned this car from mid 2001 until mid 2003. I put about 20 000 on the clock then Fernhurst sold it for me to a bloke in bournemouth.
I put the spiders, afterburners etc on. Very nice clean car - only problem I had was a new master cylinder then a couple of weeks later the finger thingys on the clutch went.
Did have a funny swirly blemish on the right wing but I think its been resprayed now.

Difficult to call ie low miles means not enough use BUT generally the best cerbs dont get far beyond 50K without a rebuild (IMHO). There are exceptions.
