proper intro! custom ramps and oil pres spring!

First of all time for a proper into! im called Grant from the Bristol area and picked up my 1997 4.2 last saturday! all that the grand age of 22!
anyhow, had to do the pressure relief valve spring today (4.40 + 4.50 postage!!! lol) so made these babys!
as you can see they work a treat, but are fecking heavy mind u!!!
end result = oil pressure now 80 at cold tickover! much better. Old spring was shorter and much easier to compress!
so there we go! sun here i come!

How much shorter was the old spring?
Just wondering because 80 seems quite high (a crowd will be along shortly to say it's ok).
Point is, there has been stories of the spring breaking and when it gets changed a piece gets left behind resulting in pressures which are quite high. Worth checking that you got it all out with a magnet maybe.
For reference mine is 55-60 cold idle dropping to about 30 when warmed up. It's been like that since the spring was changed at the last service.
There's been quite a few threads on oil pressure.
