starting problems

my first major? problem... sometimes the car won't start, the starter won't kick over. it happened as i was leaving work so i found the thin wire that goes to the selinoid (marked started) and hooked a meter to it, no juice. i played with the silver key a couple of times and that seemed to kick it. i'm pretty sure it isn't the starter but something else that isn't turning the juice on. i know there is a 2 second delay, what controls this and could it be the problem?

It would be nice to have a wiring diagram for the cerb, anyone know if one is availible ?

Is it something you could share with others who can understand them ? maybe help to diagnose your problem ?

Hi methodwares

Was told by joospeed that the small keyswitch often gives trouble,so this maybe your problem.
you say you have a wiring diagram for cerb..
any chance of a copy..i have an alarm / locking problem which i am sure i can sort if i had a wiring diagram ( i am an auto electrician )
If you could help it would be appreciated
also if i had diagram i could help diagnose other problems posted on here...

Also John, operating various electronics, would some times make it fire up, the horn or opening & closing the door, used to be favourites, so I guess the fiddling around with the key, was just that.


The new button is fitted on my dashboard & they've put an extra relay in somewhere (the alarm still imobilises aswell)
