Im in dia need of a petrol cap for a 4.5 Cerbera,

I picked up my car from Essex on Saturday and after a short blast down the M11 I stopped to get petrol, had a passer by asking questions and having a general chit chat about it. After filling up got back in the car, it fired once then died. Tried again and wouldn’t fire at all. Asked a near by AA man what to do (he was tending to a Saab at the time) and he said call AA before the battery is dead.

Waited for 20 mines and AA man started the car first time. he had his foot to the floor when pressing the black botton, Drove home!

Sunday went to get more petrol and found that I had left the petrol cap on the pump, would this affect the starting of the car? I have noticed a pressure release when undoing the cap in the past!

Any one got a petrol cap I can purchase?

Not sure if the lack of cap would have had any bearing in the starting problem. I often hear a rush of air when removing the cap off mine, but this tends to only happen when the level is low.

If you need a replacement cap, Leven Technology do a beautfull aluminium one for £45. They look much more in-keeping than the pressed steel originals.
