Does any one know where I can get a lead to hook up my laptop to my ECU?
I have 2001 4.5RR. It has 2 unused leads coming out of the ECU, one with a 2 pin connector and one a 3 pin connector, this seems diffrent to ECUs mentioned in previous posts??
I have the software (kindly supplied from fellow pistonheader).
Any inpuut on how to get some output would be great.

i asked this question recently, do a search thingy and the answers will appear, possibly as if by magic. id do it for you but i can never make these link thingies work. i think it was called 'ecu lead' and potentially contained a weak string of puns and vague boob references.

The plug for the ECU connection is under the Ally cover, you will need to remove the 4 retaining screws to get access to it. As for the lead I can send you a pin out diagram for the pin connections so you will be able to make your own. I would offer to send you one but being colour blind I would not like to gaurantee my work on someone elses car. Send me your email and I'll send it tonight when I get home.

Thanks very much but my ECU is not the same as the one you refer to, I have that diagram already! Mine has the laptop connection on an external cable, a 3 pin cable.
Any ideas anyone?
