Only firing on 4 cylinders

Just had a new clutch fitted and then engine has decided to misbehave.
Starts on all 8 for a few seconds and then drops to running on only 4. If I keep revs up all 8 fire but at idle back to 4. Has any one got a copy of the software so I can try and track the problem down.

I would 'guess' one of your coil packs is duff or loosing power.

Just have a quick check to see if there are any bad connections.

Oh and dont run the car for too long on 4cyls, it does the cats in.

Don't know anything about cerberas but have you got 2 lambda sensors down by the bell housing? Are they both plugged in properly?

Is the MiL light on?

Or it could be a potentiometer,it could have slipped or failed all together.check to see if the markings are inline?

Lambda sensors are connected and the right way round, the MIL stays off after start up.
It now fires on all 8 but idles at 800 rpm so eventually stalls and throttle response is a bit sluggish. Its been stood out a bit while the clutch was fitted so I will check for damp in plugs next.

If you can't get to the bottom of it (though to be fair your local mechanic does sound very competent so no reason to think between you you won't sort it) .. but if you can't drop me a line and you can bring the car in if you like.
