Anyone ported the Cerb' software for a PDA?

Just a thought, there must be some software engineers on here, so has anyone tried porting the Cerb' software to a Palmpilot of Microshites windows for PDA, if you can do it for my P900 Symbian Sony phone that would be great

You'd need the source code to port it, failing that you would need to get an emulator that runs on the PDA or whatever, but provides the same interface to the software as its normal O/S.

Ive been discussing the very thing a couple of weeks back with a Programming friend of mine. thought it might be good/gay having the software running landscaped on a PDA. Looked at maybe emulating windows98 on a pda, which has been done and then running it from there---- cant seem to think of a non messy easy way of doing it though without re-writing the software, i guess then it would depend on how many people would buy it, due to the time taken to write it again.

Why not run terminal services client to control the desktop from a pda?

That way you could have the PC in the house, a ip>serial gateway allowing you to run a length of CAT5e out to the garage to plug into the ECU and remotely control the desktop via the PDA.

Hey presto no need for a laptop to get ECU data.

Because I want a PDA to show real time data as I'm driving, and I think the limit of a cat 5e cable is 100m, so although I may save some money in fuel, my journeys are going to be very limited

I somehow doubt it.

Think the only interface is direct to the ECU.

Realy wish it did have an ODBii port, as I just found this:
