18 inch Red Rose RL7 alloys

I have a set of professionally restored 18 inch RL7 Red Rose alloys with good Toyo T1s tyres sitting in my garage.

what's the going rate for these before i put them up in the classifieds?

I was after a set for my car but coulnt find them. I understand they were recalled by TVR as they crack.

17's go for £300 - £400 for a refurbed set with reasonable tyres.
I would suggest that they are worth slightly more than this ? BUT as they will have been repaired for cracks (whereas TVR used to ensure they were destroyed when swapped for spiders on recall) then people might be hesitant which might impact price.
Most people want spiders (regardless of fitment issues).
A set of spiders can be had for about £700 I would guess? I paid £450 for refurbed spiders plus tyres (from Leigh tyres) plus centre caps and lock stops. all this would mean that £400 - £450 would be the most I would have paid for 18inch RL7s. But there could be someone out there willing to pay a premium for 18inch RL7s?

I've only seen a few cerbs with the 18xRL7's, I remember the kerfufel(sp?) about the cracking. Currently looking at cerbs so a genuine question here. Are we now saying they are OK, or should they be avoided as they will crack regardless .

I hope they are OK as i've bought a set no signs of cracking or repair, I know of 2 cars with them without any problems since fitting 4 +years ago.

My 17s cracked but had them repaired at work, Aeronautical approved repair!

Don't get me wrong Tim, I think they are one of the best looking wheels for the cerb, pariculary in grey/black . I just seem to remember they were subject to a recall by the factory and changed at their expense. Twas just wondering, did I misunderstand the reasons for the original recall or had things changed .
I'm sure Andy or Joolz will know the background better than me and hopefully post.

My last cerb went from 17 RL7s to RL7 18s , they cracked. They supplied a replacement set of RL7 18s, they also cracked. I then got Spiders free from TVR.
