Cam timing? Firing Order?

Does anyone know the figures for the cam timing? As in number of degrees past ATDC etc etc
As although I could measure what it is on mine I'd like to know what it should be....
Also whats the firng order again I can work this out from the cam shaft but rahter than lifting the lids I'td be nice to know.....

Hi Matt,
I was looking for this info when I had mine in bits. Couldn't find out the degrees after TDC anywhere. Should have worked it out once the timing was set correctly but wanted to get her going again.
To set cam timing.
Set the bank you are working on to TDC.
Set the cam so the back cylinder is at the exhaust closing inlet opening phase. The bucket of the inlet valve should be 60 thou (1.5mm)lower ( further open ) than the exhaust.
Tighten the camshaft pulley bolts up there.
Email me if your doing this i took some pics.
Rich.

Are you sure this is right? the position you suggest seems to be the same safe position I am currently using for removal of the cams, but it isn't TDC on my flywheel.
diycerb is right this is how to get tdc on which ever bank you are working on,the safe position, you turn the crank anti clockwise until the camshaft has moved 1and 1/2 teeth if on odd bank or clockwise if working on even bank this is the safe position ,not just having the rear cylinder inlet bucket 1.5mm lower.

Yep sorry, you're right, its been soo long waiting for shims.

Hi Julian,
Sorry for the late reply. I got my shims from Racing Green, they were in stock, told them what I wanted and were here the next day. Excellent service.
Its worth checking the timing, I found both my cams retired slightly. You'll need two DTIs with magnetic bases. the water rail is a good anchor point.
