Wheels

The spiders on my cerb were stripped and polished by the previous owner. When cleaned and REALLY polished they look the canine's undercarriage but they are a complete ball ache to have to keep polishing and seem to get dirty very quickly .

Ive also personalised the rims via a couple of kerbs. Not bad, but unsightly.

So, came back to the car today to find a local wheel referb. chap has left his calling card. He was local so I popped in to see him. He suggested getting the wheels fixed and then painted/laquered (in bright silver) and wanted £45-50 per wheel.

This got me thinking, doesnt someone do a swap old for new (Leven?) for about £200? Should I do that or stick with my rims which I know (pray) are straight and havent been banged up then repaired, or go with replacements? I also assume this is a drive in drive out service, just swapping over the tyres whilst the referb way Ive got to get the car up on axle stands (which I dont possess) and send them off to be done?

Not doing it this side of Le Mans, but probably later in the summer.

Get a different set of wheels, wider like nitroc's... and then throw on fat rubbers, now you got the uprated shafts on both sides, you should see some great timeslips! probably beat the 30sec by a longshot!!!

I got a set from him. He had a good look at my ones before accepting as exchange.
