Clutch seals done, oil leak pretty much sorted. Washed the bitch top to bottom, started her up and MIL light comes on permanently. Checked oil - ok, checked water - ok, so am still driving it. Everything seems normal, but MIL light won't go out. Thoughts please before I !!!!!!!!!!!*****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have just had some work done on the car then i would check to see if there are any plugs not conected, like on sensors that could trigger the MIL light.

Water in some of the electrics if you've just washed her? My MIL occasionally flickers when driving in really heavy rain or after a good hosing.

If you did the clutch seals from within the drivers footwell did you disturb any of the wiring or connectors under the steering colume.

I thought the title might attract a few!!
Latest development is that when I blip the throttle, the light goes out for a second and then comes back on, blip off and then back on!!!!!

I was getting this but the the other way round MIL light flickered on when blipping and then went off at idle. It also used to cut out under load which was bollox for overtaking and the mid-range power went haywire.

Turned out to be an aftermarket chip I fitted in the ECU, removed the chip, put the original back in. All was well again.
