and way heater controls have mind of there own can not seem to get any cold air when i turn then off a.c come on just warm or hot air only any idea,s any one

Same here nick. Turn of the AC and enjoy nice hot air from the engine

open both windows the passenger side about 3-4 inches and the drivers side what you like
half way is ok and you get a nice air circulation and its not to turbulent inside

Hmmm, interesting.

The air vents on the passenger side only blow hot air, regardless of the cold fans and air con.

Any one else have this problem?

Im sure Ive read on here of pipework behind the dash coming astray and not being connected to what it should be causing these probs. Im sure someone will be along soon to point you at the relevants thread/s (or you could do a search )

I had the same problem with mine, had it re-gassed and still no cold air. Turned out the compressor wasn't cutting in, had to play with the heater control cables in the passenger footwell. works a treat now.

I was out in my new one today - 150 mile round trip including the roadworks arounf Oxford, and ut was HOT !! Engine temp was never below 100, its normally 90, and a couple of times it crept up to 110, and just when I had my made my mind up to pull ove it dropped again. A bit scary !
Dis anyone else do s similar type of journey today and get the same Temp readings?
I think my air con needs gassing up though, it doesnt seem as cold as it was before, but then again today was friggin hot!!
Also can anyone rememeber where the little knob is that you use to adjust the a/c temperature?
