adjusting door height?

Hi,

I've asked this before, but now I'm in posession of more info.

The rear end of my driver's door has sagged, and it rubbing on the pillar slightly when it closes.

How to I raise it?

Looked at the hinges, but all bolts, top and bottom, are welded. I notice on the bottom there's a kind of bearing held in by two allen bolts. Wondr if I removed them I could turn the bearing shell?

Thoughts please?

I tried to adjust the door on my wedge and wished I had never tried. It took hours and I made it worse. You might want to get someone who knows what they are doing to help. It seems to be a bit of an art!

Come on Eddie, tell us all!

You peel away the carpet and assorted stodge from the inside wall (directly inside where the bottom hinge is) and after a lot of crap has been removed you can get to the two boltheads that hold the hinge on.

Loosen 'em a bit, close the door with a blanket or something under it to stop it mangling the paint and sills when it falls, then tighted the bols up again with the door shut.

Doing that a couple of times and shimming door up a bit with more blanket layers did it.
