When Wipers Meet

Seems I didn't tighten my o/s wiper arm enough when I did the leven upgrade a week or 2 ago, as the 2 wipers met and got stuck upright at the top of the screen last week while hooning down a mountain in Europe. Stopped when I could and realigned them but no joy, nothing now works, wipe or wash. Fuse is OK and I can't believe it would be the ribbon cable (and can't get one for love nor money till the end of Aug anyway), so my last thoughts are a burnt out wiper control box. Before I start to disassemble, fiddle and then probably replace it on the off-chance, any other suggestions as to what it could be? Thanks.
Can't help with that cos I is a numpty with mechanical things. Just thought I would drop in and say 
How did the Cerb hold up (other than the wipers) with the hoon, hear you lost a couple of other tivvers on the way down but trust you made it there and back under your own stream?.
p.s. Doing a rolling road day in September, Tvr's against some of the Porsche peeps, I know you didn't run at the last one because your engine was still fresh, so thought you might be interested in this one. The traitor Nervous is bringing his GT3 and deserves a good pasting from our side. There is a post running in General Tvr section if you are interested, trying to get about 10 from each marque.

Cerb was pretty damn perfect for 2900 miles 
Other than the high altitudes making her fuggy under 3k revs and having no tickover, she started on the button and drove peachy 
We lost a Tusc at the foot of the Stelvio with a blown engine (no S6 sniggering at the back there 
) and then a Chim with a thrust release bearing failure, but the most heartbreaking was the 30 year old TR6 that made it 2720 miles round Europe, up and down god knows how many Alpine passes and then lost it's brakes at Reims on the run back to the Eurotunnel. SO close. So then, that traitor know as Nervous "uber-loightening von genchler" Turncoat the Third. I'll bring the bananas for the GT3's exhausts, you keep the simpleton talking and job'll be a goodun.

Checked the splines and all's ok there fortunately. Luckily my 2nd car's a mini, so I can do a quick swap to check if the motor is burnt out at the weekend
When I tested the buttons again earlier though, after replacing all the fuses anyway, if I hold the main beam button down and then both the wipe and wash buttons as well, the main beam stays on after releasing all three. It works as it should on it's own but stays on with the other 2 depressed. So now I'm thinking the steering wheel control box is at fault ??!! SlvrCrb said:

a) Yes I'll come (and run)
b) Yes I'll come (to help nobble pretty boy, but won't run)
c) None of the above as yet, I will have a look at the other thread and decide.
