Hope you can help me. I own a yellow TVR Cerbera Speed 6 (C&S May 2004) and for the most part have been very happy despite the usual problems. About 5 weeks ago, I had a slight bump with another car (not my fault), luckily the damage was slight. When I collected the car from the bodyshop garage and drove off I noticed the MIL light started to come on intermitantly. I had a quick fiddle with the connections to the 'black boxes' in the boot and this seemed to work. However, in the last two days the MIL light seems to becoming on more and more frequently. I should say I have found no difference in the way the engine handles during this time and oil pressure is still good, but before I take it to nearest TVR dealer (50 miles away) does any one have any top tips that might help.

only way to check for shure is to look at the fault codes with the software. Do you have it?
I quess not as you are new to this.
Send over your mail address and you will have it.
You need the lead to connect to the ECU, post back and we will help you out.

The manual say to take to a dealer and to not use the car. So would suggest you are risking the cats (at the very least).

Id read the fault codes first, possibly dodgy lambda or even bad connection, but if you have cats fitted then it wouldnt be a good idea to drive it until you know what it is.

I've had no end of problems with the MIL, for me it's the Oil pressure sensor connector. It's below the air box and the clutch fluid cover. Usually have to knock it with a long screwdriver, even though I've changed the connectors and the sensors twice.

Apparently, a low voltage (11.8V) across your battery can cause the MIL Light to come on.
Worth checking your battery with a meter - maybe the bodywork guys had the doors/boot open without switching off/disconnecting the entry/exit lights??

Sorry I have not back before now. No there does not appear to be any loss of power or that juddering through the gears. Hopefully that is positive

I assume that if the oil pressure gauge reads OK the sensor is fine or is that too simple. Presumably to assess this I need to take the 'hands off' protection cover?
