I picked up my Cerbera tonight. What a car 
A 4.2 1997 version.
I had a happy hour driving it around before dark clouds started threatening rain, so I put it away in the garage.
First impressions:
I must remember to put it into 5th gear before reverse
£60 to fill the tank - must remember that
Blimey it's fast. That Boxster didn't stand a chance away from the lights.
How 'pointy' it is to drive and how late you can turn in
How rubbish is the turning circle.
But - I have a car again with grin factor 10

Sounds great - have lots of fun but remember one thing.
Sooner or later you'll get the urge to overtake that numpty doing 35 in a 40 or 45 in a 50. No problem there but think about the cross section of the road surface and figure the weight shift of the car (from near-side to off-side) as you go across the center line, accelerating in 2nd/3rd. Unless you get the feel of this, and sense it, you could easily find the back end gets very loose and leary. Going past a numptie with a good old tank-slapper (if you're lucky) can be a bit embarrassing and if you only had a short gap to complete the overtaking manoever things close in very quickly when half of your momementum is dissipated sideways.
Maybe your driving skills are way above this so don't take the above personally. It's just good to appreciate how quickly stuff happens.

1. Personally, I use first gear before reverse
2. Very easy to use that £60 up quickly, refill at quarter full to be safe.
3. Forget boxsters, your now in Ferrari/Lambo/911 turbo and superbike territory.
4. Watch the back end doesn't snap at you.
5. Totally agree.
Finally, grin factor - definately 10/10. Gutted that you didn't buy mine, but I'm sure the drive home in the morning will make up for it

One of the biggest gotchas will be the back end swinging out if you are too heavy with your right foot, if overtaking always pull out into the other lane first, have a good look at the overtake and then get the power on, ie when the front wheels are pointing straight ahead. There is no need, in these cars, to 'get a run up' at the car in front when you overtake. So many cars have ended up going rearwards into a hedge or doing a 180 and hitting the car they are overtaking. Just take it easy for a month or 2, let the losers have their 30seconds worth of glory as they cane it past you, until you feel comfortable with it.
I am really sorry if this is teaching you to suck eggs but I got caught out a few times in the early days - the difference between driving a Volvo estate automatic to a Cerbera.
I hope you enjoy the car, I've had mine for 3 years and it still gives me a huge grin everytime I get in it.

byker you should have held up the purchasing of your cerb until you found a yellow one,i mean red is nice,but yellow is nice and alot faster!!.
