Arghhh - oh no...

Nope I haven't crashed it.

My neighbour decided to paint his fence with a new spray system, with my car on the other side on my driveway. It was on every panel facing his fence, the bonnet, boot.
I had the windows open so it went all over the interior as well.



Luckily it was water based but I've just spent 3 hours cleaning the whole car of green spots.

Come on guys a little less wanker, and a little more understanding. In the REAL world people make mistakes, go round and have a chat to remind him to look over the fence by all means, but most people don't think about cars the same way you lot do, and its you lot who are in the minority.

My wife did this to a neighbour by accident once, and once he told me I took his car to the local car wash for him. Job done, happy neighbour.

My wife was very complementary about my reserve. Probably a couple of years ago I would have got very het up and we'd have ended up with two neighbours not talking etc.

As it was he popped around a couple of hours into the cleaning to apologise, after he'd finished painting his fence with a brush. A little strange as I'd have felt terrible and been around immediately to help wash it.

I don't think I would loose my rag either. Just take it to a local detailer, get it cleaned and give the neighbour the bill. Seems fair to me

I had a similar thing happen to me but with paint. We where having the inside of the house painted and it seems that they guy had washed his brushes and walked down the drive swinging them. The next day I noticed the whole car was covered in white spots. The boss got the lad back and made him wash and polish the car he even bought the polish. I was going to lose the plot but he put it right. He even offered to paint the kitchen for free the following week.

I keep it in the garage when it's not being used. I'd been out in it and parked it on the drive as it was during the day.
