Curious Oil drip?

Have noticed an intermittent, very small amount of oil just under the air intake at the front - just a blob really, and not all the time - can anyone enlighten me as to what causes this?

Don't worry too much, it'll just be oil coming from the drivers side airbox from the oil breather, it'll occasionally drip down the pipe into the front airbox, through the air filter I think, ending up as a small drop under your airbox.

Thanks Jules, I did begin to wonder! Having enjoyed a couple of months driving it I'm just in the process of sorting the necessary to get it booked into TCS for the Whirlwind treatment, and I thought it would be just my luck to develop some bizarre leakage.

i have this drip thats why i want to fit the oil catch tank, see post i started today.

Wonder what Jules makes of the catch tank?? is it just added expense for no reason or will it help clean up and cure the issue???

I was told it wasnt good to leave the residue oil inside the air intake pipe for long periods of time so thought the catch tank had to be the best solution.
