Afternoon all,
not being lazy - have done a search - still confused..
My front toyos are dead due to set up mainly ...
they didnt last very long at all 3-4k ...
Hey ho ... was looking at falken 452 (17" 245)as everybody said how good falken 451s were.
I havnt read anything good or bad about the 452s any body have any experience ??
This is just for road use by the way...
Any suggestions TA DAS

Good question 
, I haven't shod my rims yet and have heard the good news about the 451's like you and was going to try them, but it seems only 452's are readily available now 
. I hope is it isn't like the SO2 SO3 saga 
Out of interest you said you have worn out the fronts but go on to say 17" 245's, I thought 235's were the norm for fronts on the 17" rims

Sorry for the slight hijack, but whilst on the subject of tyres, when speaking to my local tyre place (protyre) I mentioned the RL7's and they thought the 255 rears might be over-tyring (new word) the 8" rims , any comments.

) the 8" rims , any comments. Fitted the Falken 452s on my front wheels about 4 weeks ago and so far so good. I was fortunate to have a pair of Bridgestone S02's stored away ready for putting on the rears once the old tyres became worn, but for the last 6 months have struggled to find a set of S02's for the front (probably because they don't make them anymore!) to keep them all the same, so when the MOT was due a few weeks back I needed 4 new tyres so had to go with an alternative brand on the front. My car previously had Toyo's fitted all around.

and order them !
struggling to fit my protecs at the moment I always manage to make an hour job into 5!
wanted to get the tyres off to tidy the kerbed edges before fitting new tyres ...

) the 8" rims , any comments.More than likely, Yoko recommend 8.5-10 inch rim for 255 width tyres.

I had Toyos fitted previously on mine and thought that they were fine, however, since changing to 452 front and S02 rear I appear to have more confidence pushing the car on the country road I travel to and from work on daily. It may just be that the Toyos were getting very tired and I must admit I was a bit worried about mixing brands, but they feel good so far. I have also noticed less of a tendancy for the back wheels to spin since fitting the S02s on the rears.

Sorry, I'm a Toyo man as long as you ensure they are within the correct pressure range regularly.
Had S02s on the back last winter and they were almost impossible to get any heat into with the consequent lack of grip making the horizon pass by the windscreen hoizontally amzingly frequently.(Hope that's English)

Nice to hear someone recommending Goodyear Eagle F1's as these are my tyre of choise. I played around for tyres for years on my Capri until I found these and they transformed the handling. I fitted a set to my wifes MX-5 and the difference was amazing. Lighter steering and so much more stability and grip in corners.
I've a pair on the back of my cerbera at the moment. The fronts will get changed to them when they are worn. There's just too much tread on them at the moment.
My local garage quoted £93 for the fronts and and £107 for the rears fitted.
