I would assume no oil pressure. You don't really get any other form of air lock with oil circuits.
One way to clear it if back filling the pump doesn't work is to remove the plugs and allow the engine to spin fatser on the starter, this increased speed can sometimes allow the additional suction to get the oil up to the pump.
Watch your injectors though as they will still be pumping fuel and so you will have a volatile charge comoiung out the plug holes. Would be good to try and deactivate them (fuel pump fuse or similar).

A very good suggestion too
As said above, backfill the oil system to try to get the airlock out or force oil into the relief assembly. I tried and tried all methods but eventually gave up and she went off on a lo-loader for my indie to do it in 30 minutes.
Go to machinemart and get yourself a drill pump www.machinemart.co.uk/product.asp?p=060220450&r=2165&g=122 and some 19mm clear flexible hose. Dunk the far end of one of the hoses into your oil container and squeeze the other end of the other hose over the lower of the two oil adapters - with the pump in the middle obviously. And let the drill do the work. 50 lires/min at 28psi - hey presto job done!!
