so i can make myself one looks to be 1/4 plate and steel rather than alloy ???

Interesting, I need to get hold of one of these so phoned Dream Machines, chap in parts asked 'was it an accessory' as the two Cerbs' that they had in didn't have them fitted.

I wonder just how many cars still have them fitted or more importantly how many cars don't and owners don't realise?

I had a batch of 4 of there made up by a local fabricators, 1/8" ali is strong enough, if you make it out of 1/4 steel plate and you hit a bump it will rip the bottom front of your car off!

Got a couple spare if anyone local to me wants one.

Not wanting to stir up a sh*tstorm, but the splitter in the pics is positioned the wrong way, I have been told that on Cerbs they are supposed to point inwards, Mine is fitted as the pics and supposidly the wrong way (fitted by me and bought off ebay for a fiver)
My mate has a 51 plate completely unmolested cerb and his points inwards, so any input would be appreciated.
ps, Chimmys are as the pics so lets hear what the usual suspects have to say

That's what i can't quite get my head around. If you turn it around length for length, then it just would act like a scoop, causing serious amounts of turbulence under the front.

I can get my head around it being the same way, but so the lip is turned up into the engine bay. This is getting confusing.

not sure whether he means the matal has been bent the wrong way
he may mean the flat peice touching the body is as is,but the matal when made was originally made to turn the oposite way

As I said in it, mine's the way round which causes an air depression under the car which aids grip and sucks the bonnet down.
Absolutely no idea what advantage the 'scoop' version would have.

I fitted mine pointing backwards and downwards. From an aerodynamic point of view this will accelerate the airflow over the trailing edge of the 'flap' and cause an associated pressure drop. Having it the other way round would creat a mini air dam, but it wouldn't be big enough to effectively remove air from under the car, so I'm guessing I have it the right way round. I will post a picture of it on my rebuild site later this morning.

Are the scratches on the nose underside TVR standard as I seem to have them as well.
