Dear Pistonheads community

This is my fist post here on this forum after quietly reading as a passive member.
My name is Jonas and I am located in Germany. I own a Cerbera Speed Six since 2023. It is a very nice example with a chassis rebuild, respray in Standox red rocket and some electrical modifications to reduce gremlin risk.

Last year in June I had a misfortunate situation. A particle (circlip) was sucked into the engine and landed in cilynder no. 6 with subsequent damages as you can imagine. The car is off the road for 7 months now and my TVR specialist (who really knows these cars) has a great deal of getting the parts needed for the repair.

In particular the Valve Spring Retainer (TVR E6018) seems to be unobtainable (at least in Germany).
Therefore, I would like to ask for your help. If you have any information or a spare part at hand, please let me know. I already checked Motoclan and inquired at powersperformance, but as of today without luck.

Thank you in advance and best regards
Jonas

I'm surprised Powers don't have the part seeing as they routinely rebuild these engines.

You could try Str8six for the parts.

I'd agree with previous post.

BUT, I would recommend that you telephone either Powers Performance or Str8Six.

I have spoken to Eckhard at https://www.acs-pro.de/ a few years ago regarding a front screen for my Tuscan. He was very helpful. He might suggest an alternative supplier in Germany.

Thank you. Eckhard is of course source no. 1 for German TVR owners, but there is no way forward from there.
I will continue with Power and Str8Six and hope for any help.

Other companies to try are:
Sportmotive - they have an engine rebuilder.
Selby TVR and X Works - they may have SP6 parts or point you to people who do.
TVR Glen at https://tvrspares.co.uk/ who is a breaker of all models of TVRs
Douglas Valley breakers

I’ve used both of those breakers in the past.

Racetech don’t sell them or the springs but may help with info on sourcing them.

Failing that I would try and find the source of the original springs and retainers. I appreciate that will be difficult.

Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot. I inquired at these addresses as well. Up to now, not a single positive feedback. Which is surprising as well as frustrating.
I will shout out as soon as I had any success.

Servus Jonas

Not sure where you are in Germany but if not too far you could try Stefan Kreitczick at Consultens near Ingolstadt. They did a great job with my speed six or https://www.tvr-gehrke.com/

Will do...
Until now there is simply NO reply from UK despite "no we don't have anything".
