a couple have gone at auction in the mid-late teens. and V8s are available late teens

Expected to go for £15-16k with dealer fees so 75% of that? What do you think?

have to say - it looks pretty nice to me.

It's certainly had a few quid spent on it in the last few years. £7,400 is one hell of a 12k service bill!

It has done 1,500 miles in 15 years. I guess people are scared of what more needs to be spent on it. It doesn't matter if you set the reserve at £1. If the market sees the true value at £50,000 then people will bid against each other until it gets there. The fact that this hasn't shows what these cars are really worth.

If it wasn't a cat D, didn't have the chassis covered in gunk and had a more recent engine rebuild by one of the recognised people it would be maybe £25k?

Yeah I paid well under £5k for mine. This included delivery, an engine stand, an engine hoist, a variety of spares and a nose cone full of random stuff:

Wasps nest
Wheel chock
Rusty chisel

But excluded an engine or gearbox.

I may have overpaid hehe
