. . . probably sold to some half-wit who has just bitten off far more than he realises?
(I'll post up progress reports in 2025 - if i remain sane)

I take it you need a welcome to the mad house sort of greeting.. . . probably sold to some half-wit who has just bitten off far more than he realises?

Previous owner has had her since 2007. (On the register here under another private reg).
James and co are fettling her ready for an MOT.
I might end up opting for an ACT large rear collector exhaust back box (she's decatted!) i don't YET have tinnitus . . .
I've been in touch with some bloke called Joolz who claims to know a lot about these
. . . (ordered new replacement whirlwind hoses and an ECU). The car had a remap at Joolz in the late noughties: 419bhp with his ECU chip and rolling road session.
So far the madhouse seems quite sane.
Oh, the car has the factory optioned rear child seat brace bar. And the TVR factory type certification document.
Like i said . . . sane . . . so far

Joolz will help you get the most out of a 4.5, as they benefit considerably from his remaps
However, it's worth getting as many things sorted first before you get to Joolz, a service would be the bare minimum, a service including tappet adjustments would be best
Be aware that the rolling road will find any weak points in your car fairly quickly, even though he is very careful to keep the car cool (I've had exhaust manifolds and lambda sensors fail, although strangely not the expansion tank)

Also Joolz knows the cars really well, can service etc if you need it. I'd get him to give it a sanity check before he starts, but he is well acknowledged at his ability to fettle and tune the AJP.
Welcome to ownership

Same combo as my old Cerb but mine had black carpets as well. It lives in a heated warehouse in Belgium now.. . . probably sold to some half-wit who has just bitten off far more than he realises?

Update time
The car was purchased as a mini-project and needed work. That's all been agreed with James and co, and it's been a bit of a waiting game for parts and time for the car to be fettled. (That was all ackowledged when I bought it).
In addition to the first phase of works (all completed) the following has now been done:
New starter motor (RaceTech E210 HiTorque)
New ECU from Joolz
New short induction hoses from Joolz
Lambda sensors x2
Coil pack x2
HT leads
The car is now sat in a bodyshop to get the cosmetics sorted out:
New outriggers
New headlamp bowls
Paint
MOT
The last step in a month-or-so will be getting the car mapped / fettled for power etc. If he has some availability; hopefully with Joolz.
It does feel good to be having a lot of weak-spots on the Cerb sorted out by respected folks before I actually get it. I think (long term) this option will be a decent place for me to be with Cerb ownership . . .
. . . but that doesn't make the waiting any easier lol
