1st Month Of Ownership
Discussion
Having changed from an Elise to a Subaru STI in search of some extra practicality, I was getting rather bored & disillusioned with my decision.
The STI although rapid was incredibly boring & I found you had to be doing Mach 1 before it got interesting - just didn't do it for me.
A friend suggested a Cerbera. Hmmmm, hadn't really considered that!
A friend of a friend was selling a '97 4.2 and a swap was suggested. The car is a good spec in Rosso pearl, full hide, air con, sports exhaust, full history and low mileage. Apparently the 2nd owner had soured the country in search of a good one in the right spec. finally travelling to Fernhurst in Surrey.
I hardly slept a wink the night before the test drive having read old magazine write-ups about them being a bit of a handful.
Within 200 yards, I knew this was the car for me.
The deal was done and I havn't looked back.
Insurance is 2/3rds that of the Impreza. Sitting in the TVR is such an occasion, let alone driving it!
Visited Penisula TVR Tuesday for an Engine tune - woaaa what a difference. Apparently the Throttle pots were in need of adjustment - (concluded the same from accessing the archive on here).
Airconditioning redundant due to windows premanently down listening to the sports pipes!!!
What have I been missing all these years? I finally think I have found my automotive utopia!!

Purchased from a local guy in Taunton, Somerset.
Had a walk round the sales lot at Penisula. Thought the Tuscan was longer than it actually is. They had a Purple 4.5GT Cerbera in for some work - Hmmmmmm.
Is it just me, or is the Cerbera the best looking TVR ever produced (not at all biased)!!!!
