600, I reckon a dealer would sell your car for £32k or £33k, so take £3k off for a private sale, and it looks like your pretty close to the £30k required.
My own car is similar to the spec of yours (2000 4.5 LW, 18k miles, 18" spiders, AC, etc) and I paid £32k from a dealer back in April.

600, what's taken £2500 in 3 months?
Sounds like you have been unlucky, and hopefully you'll have trouble free motoring for a while having spend the £2500.
Having bought a similar car back in March, I haven't spent a penny other than on Optimax and Mobil 1 Motorsport. Had a few niggles in the first month, but the dealer sorted them for free.

there again.. ) but now the car is sorted, it's my
everyday car, very reliable, great fun and the pain
of the early bills has gone.
If you have had the car sorted, it will be easier from here on in. Trust me, been there, seen it, doing it!

Graham,
OOps, I shouldn't have let anyone know what I was getting rid of my cerbie for
On a more serious note, I reckon you will have to lower the price quite a bit at this time of year. So whatever you think your car is worth, knock a few K off.
600, under 30K you can get an R34 GTR skyline but it is unlikely to be a good one. Unless you really know what you are looking for it can be a real lottery as all those electronic toys are not cheap to replace if they go wrong. Also most of them are tuned so you have to ask 'why is the owner selling? problems on the horizon?'
IMHO these cars are more of a minefield than TVR's. Admittedly the engine is very reliable but if it does let go it will make a cerbie engine rebuild look very cheap indeedy.
Not trying to put you off, just be careful.

In the first 3 weeks i had: leaking cam covers, new alternator, new starter motor, new control box for the windows+doors. The air condittioning never worked when i got it and ended up costing £1600 to repair as it needed new condenser and various tubes and wires+a lot of labour!
...for the last month the car has been running really sweet...so just to top it all, last week....some woman decides to crash into me while trying to control her kids sitting in the back seat!...gutted
even worse...i've just heard that it's going to take up to 8 weeks to repair!!...so i'm driving round in my 1.2 corsa coertesy car!....i appreciate this is not the car's fault, but do you blame me for loosing patience?
But i do love the car when it works...and it seems a shame to have gone through all the headaches, only to sell it when it is running good!
I think i will keep it for now but if anything major goes wrong with it....it will have to go

Ouch, sorry that is bad luck.
When I got mine it needed to immediate work so it was
a week before I got to even drive it, had it 6 more
weeks and then it was off the road for a month, 2 of
which were because TVR was shut.
Without knowing the damage, perhaps the respray may
be a good thing for you, but rest assured, if the car
is running sweet now, like mine it makes all the
troubles go away.
Hope you do decide not to sell it, keep us posted
and I wish you better luck!

Likewise,
I hope you don't sell it either 600.
I enjoyed mine so much, it was loads of fun if a little stressful at times (a temp gauge that over-read, common apparently).
The other good thing about these cars is that they do your driving skills a power of good. The skyline is great but does not require as much skill to go at the same speed as the cerbie (especially in the wet).
