NITRON setup help
Discussion
Got a set of Nitrons fitted - I think they could do with a bit more fine tuning - does anyone have any tips (an instruction manual would be nice as well!!)
The car is a little crashy and twitchy - feels a little too hard. Also, I'd like to left the suspension a bit as I live in speed-bump central and am likely to rip something off the car soon!!

You've done it now. Cue Joolz and his comments about specialists who don't set them up to customer's liking!
I think there was a number of settings posted in a previous thread but getting a specialist to do the job will get the maximum benefit from your investment (Jools, TopCats or whoever (depending on where you car)).

Sounds as though the damping is set a bit hard the NTR's have a 22 way adjustable damping see

for position of damper adjuster.
When I had them fitted to the Tuscan was told to always work from the maximum (fully C/W), starting point was given as 8 clicks back from this point, I just went a few click at a time until I found the setting that suited me.

starting from fully hard is the best way, that way you know that the damper valving is fully closed, the first click has the most effect, then each successive click has less effect. you need the minimum damping to get the result you're looking for. Nitrons are inherently very comliant, result of the low nose force required to get the piston rod moving, they shouldn't be crashy at all, if you're unhappy ask whoever you bought them from to have them revalved to your liking, I've just done this for a customer who wanted a little less pin sharp handling and more compliance, worked a treat. Did you talk over the set up with the supplier at all?
I think I did Mike's for nothing, I was more interested in him having the car how he wants it than anything else, turnaround was only a couple of days (although a weekend intervened so it was probably 5 days in all maybe). Mike is on the std kit with 400lb front springs, I got the medium and high speed bump settings dropped (don't know how much, Guy at Nitron is the person who knows the secret stuff like that) but kept the low speed bump the same and the rebound the same. If that hadn't have completely cured it I'd have gone for slightly softer front springs, but as it happens the car was much better for Mike after the damper mods.
You may end up covering any labour and carriage charges with your supplier as this strictly isn't a fault with the kit, more that it isn't exactly as you want it.
