Got my first bit of tail-out action today using too much loud pedal (in second ) on the exit of a wet roundabout. Actually I was so shocked I didn't have time to think about whether it was savage or benign. However, the reduction of the throttle and a little opposite lock soon fixed it.

Thinking about getting some instruction -- any recommendations?

Can't think of an instructor of hand, but a airfield track day will help you learn too. Best to do both though.

Don't think you really need either, apart from the fun aspect that is.
What you need to do is train your cerebella!

Took the 2 full day course with Ride Drive and it was totally brilliant. Learnt so much from Stuart who was incredibly enthusiastic and ultra professional, he really knows his stuff! I'd never been on a track day or anything like this so having the ability to take the car to its limits was very valuable. I'd recommend this to everyone.
