Alarm/locking not working

After a flat battery recently, the locking/alarm system is not now working. The immobiliser will diarm only with the touch key. Anyone know how to resychronise the system?

My key fobs stopped working after flat battery
I charged battery then disconnected it for a couple of minutes then reconected and used fobs to activate alarm / imobilizer everything then started working O.K.

Thats O.K. but i got it from another P.H.er a couple of months back

Have the same prob after battery change
touch key only.
So shall try disconnect / reconnect is this the only hope ?
