How are you going to recalibrate the meter or speedo input signals so that it reads correctly? Any thought on where you are going to pick up an electronic speedo signal?
The wiring is easy as the sensor goes directly to the speedo!The other problems are interesting challenges to say the least. The Cerbera has a slotted disc on the diff that is used. There isn't one on the older TVRs. On my Wedge, I used the back of the wheel studs and had to mount a pickup on the hub upright. The SPA unit I was using could be callibarted to give the correct readings.

Hi Steve - Yep it was a bit of a long shot when I bought it. I was hoping that once I cracked it open there would be some means of manually setting the calibration - but there doesn't appear to be. The main knub of the unit appears to be a PCB which takes the pulsed input signal from whatever source (I have a magnetic sensor that I can use to generate a pulsed signal from the propshaft or output side of the diff) and converts this to a motor drive speed to mechanically drive the unit the rest of the way.
I'm going to contact Caerbont and see if the calibration can be altered to reflect my known drive ratios, but if the PCB is firmware only, then I'll probably sell it on again (assuming it actually works). It's such a nice looking gauge that I'd love to be able to use it, otherwise I'll be forced to try and find a T5 speedo drive gear (my box was supplied without one), or buy one of the stock calibratable Telemetrix gauges.
In the back of the speedo, there are 3 wires, brown, green & yellow. I'm assuming brown is 12V supply (could do with a cerbie wiring diagram to see if it's fused), but do you think it'll matter which way round the other two wires are connected to the sensor?
