Well I promised some news, so I'm stopping by via
my mobile to say I’ve parted with my ’96 4.2!

Shocked?

After all my love and praise for the car and with
The Cerbera Register coming on strong and all set
to give owners their own events, special deals etc
why would I do such a thing?

So there you have it, she’s gone – off into Tuesday's
Sunset she blasted and that was the end of
a short, but very sweet romance with the 4.2.

So what now…..?

Well my view on life is, you only get one, so go for
it, so why the change and what have I moved to?

Well, since I’m racking up the miles and apparently
touring the TVRCC’s of the UK, off to Le Mans etc,
I’ve upgraded to a full monty late 1998 4.5 with
17,000 on the clock and with the following spec.

Tahiti Pearl with full hide and Prussian uprated
interior with perforated inserts. New 18” Spiders
& tyres, recent lightweight headlight conversion.

New clutch, front springs, brake discs, radiator and
front shock, latest Pioneer 11 cd changer and all
with 1 year warranty and just waxoyled etc.

This is all possible with very grateful thanks to the
guru of Cerbera salesmen, the one and only,
James Agger who will source for you the best possible
car to meet your requests and then with the aid of
the Cerbera technical king, stand up Julian ‘Joospeed’ Lane,
they deliver the dream car – no
fuss, frills and removing any worry.

I’ll post some photos in the next day or so ( if I can
get near a land line! ) and as I’ve noted marked
changes between a 96 and a 98 car, not to mention the
4.2 and 4.5, I’ll write a report detailing some of
my findings.

In the meantime, keep an eye open for me blasting
around with the Concorde call sign, S2 NYC and try
to keep Sunday 8th February free as we are trying
to arrange a short notice ‘TCR Cerbera
Celebration’.

Hi ! Not yet. Car is in the garage outside my house. In to APM for brakes and MOT this week. Might be TVR less in a week or two. But I am trying not to think about it.
I will so miss the car. It is so sorted that it seems a shame when it will cost nothing to run for a couple of yrs. But nothing last forever. So maybe a Typhon in a couple of yrs.

Fingers crossed for the Typhon then Gary. Must say that gear lever's a bit weird though.
Take care.

Also spotted your car at Joolz's. I thought mine had had a clone when I went in. Mine is S reg, similar colour & wheels but dark blue interior. Nice motor.

So you ended up buying something similar to mine after all

Hope this one goes better than the first (before you got it sorted). I also cannot recommend Mr Agger highly enough. Sold my car through him and if I decide to buy another TVR he will be my first port of call.

Great news mate.

Rob.

Thanks for the congrats folks.

Indeed Rob, you always knew I'd want a newer one, but
I had to go with the entry level until I knew how
daily use would work.

Not really been out in the car yet due to the
weather, work and the move etc, but hope to put
that right in a big way during the next week,
so I will put up a 4.2 vs 4.5 report after that.

Still without a phone line in the new house ( BT have
surpassed themselves with stupidity this time - very
long story.. ) so still only able to stop by and without
comment every few days as the mobile is just
too slow.

Hope to be back to normal soon.

Looking forward to your report...

I have submitted my car to the register but I guess that you are having problems with the internet due to BT so will wait patiently!

Finally - I'm back on line! ( good old BT - bless 'em )

So, as the sunsets on this:

The sun starts to rise on this:

Not the best shots, but since it's rained everyday
other than this.....

...they will do for now.

Collected the car from TVR Power last night
( who did a stunning job! ) and I took the car for
a blast in the rain.

Far superior road holding to the '96, very impressive.

Hoping for a dry run Sunday and then I'll post the
full report.

Go create some weather...
It's a road legal Concorde!

Thanks Satman.

It's Tahiti Pearl which changes colour from royal blue
to a purple depending on the light.

The interior is pretty cool too!

Good luck with the conversion - who's doing it?

Interior looks tasty as well!...very similar to my 99 4.5...could almost be twins.....mines imperial blue pearl which also goes a purpley colour in certain light and has a navy and magnolia trim not too disimilar to yours.
The conversion is being done by Ewelmes...Speed 6 type and fully blended...same as yours!.....did the rears over christmas, using the afterburners.
Cant wait for the spring/summer so i can do some proper 'cruising'....
