Did you get my email about the MBE pin? Sorry I can't send/receive emails at work. You can only communicate via PH during office hours
Spill the beans Julian (either one will do!) - does that mean we're close to getting the remapped ECU?

I think Joolz has a number of different irons in the fire. I'm slowly bringing up the rear with evenings and weekends spent creating an interface between the MBE ECU and a PC.
Unfortunately it starts to get a bit out of hand for a home bod like me. Just spend out a few hundred quid for a PCB routing program, cos I got fed up of not managing to do what I wanted with a freeware version.
Spent a few hundred quid on bits so far and can't tell you if I'm moving forward until it all comes together.
Enough to say I'm working on the idea of keeping your current ECU and adapting it whereas others are looking at replacing it completely.

Sounds like a brilliant effort Julian. Lets hope you have some success - I'm sure the first time you see a power plot it'll all be worthwhile!
Joolz,
Does this mean you are developing/sourcing a standalone ECU as opposed to a piggyback unit.
In the Jap scene both approaches are used with success. Some say that the piggyback approach is better because it keeps most of the standard features whilst allowing one to alter ignition/fuelling (what we are really interested in) and also frees up the piggyback ecu to do its job. However standalone ecus seem to work equally as well.
I guess the sp6 uses the MBE ecu as well? Your work could well yield some great results on that engine as well (especially if they supercharge it).
Rob.
