Haing had the Cerb since July last year I have come across some questions you might have the answer to.

1. Can the handbrake be improved, so it works !

2. the Alternatonr fuse 100 Amp, how do I change it easily, I have a 4.2, have had a look but cant realy get close to it.

3. What the four second reset people talk about.

1)Not really. It can be adjusted, but it usually gets just as bad again within a month (all TVR's have bad handbrakes)

2)There are various threads on here about changing the fuse (do a search on 100amp) - discoccect the battery, then have a good delve into the depths of the engine - you'll find it !

3)Holding down the remote blipper for 4 secs just resets the alarm

Mark.

Joolz was telling me of an upgrade to the handbrake, as mine is cr*p too. I think he mentioned £300ish...but you'll have to talk to him. Apparently, you'll be able to do handbrake turns in the cerb.

Andy at APN moved the pivot point or something on mine and its been alot better since. thing is he did it whilst the gear box was out having the clutch slave done. I don't think he even charged me! I guess that was because with the box out it was a simple job.

Top bloke though why not give him a bell and ask his advice.. highly recomended!

I must admit. When i got the car 12 months ago, I did struggle driving the car with a wa*k handbrake. Its not so bad if you live in Lincolnshire, or places down south where the landscape is similar to that of Holland, but up 'er in't north, a good hand brake comes in handy. However, i've now got used to it...well most of the time, so I can live with it. Leave it in gear, wheels point in to the curb etc...

I can confirm the Joospeed handbrake tweaking works really, really, well. Our old handbrake wouldnt hold the car on a flat surface (we pushed it in his workshop to prove it) Now if its on the car stays there - 100% improvement, in that it actually works now! - call Joolz for a price...

No connection etc etc - just a happy customer.

I can't claim no connection but he still sorted my handbrakes out, on both the Chimaera and the Griff - and you wouldn't want to be without a handbrake if you had a drive like mine. Even the Avensis came up it diagonally tonight in the snow
