Can anyone tell me what baby seat will fit into the back of a cerbera. My baby girl is 2 years old and we need a seat that goes up to 4 to 6 years.

It also has to look good.

Any suggestions

Cheers

The Recaro fits (available from Halfords) & looks pretty good, or TVR do their own seat (no idea how large the child can be using ether seat I'm afraid).

I'm sure parents will post soon though

The TVR own seat fits 9 months to 12 years. At least, the old TVR one does - can't speak for the latest ones, but I gather these are Recaros anyway.

There've been loads of threads on this - do a search on "child seat" in the Cerb forum for some more info.

And Olly is right - the TVR own seats do look nice.

Parent here :tiredsmiley:

I have the Britax Freeway in mine, c£80 from Mothercare if I recall correctly - plenty of past threads on this which also recommend the use of seat belt tensioners (?) to get the seat fitted properly

My twin daughters are now three and I found the best method for the rear seats was to purchase a Gracco adapter that clips to and shortens the original seatbelt. This method held them much more securely IMHO than trying to fit a childs seat. As the rear seats are the same size as the base of a Britax/Recaro start seat it seems to work really well. Has the advantage that they are secured against the car itself rather than in a baby seat that however rigidly mounted still moves slightly.

My girls are quite small for three, so may be suitable for a larger two year old.

Simon, Do you have any further details on this? I've had a google but no joy, my 2 year old is getting a bit big now so could be a good solution.

Simon, good man - thanks very much!!

Edited to add: Even with all the detail I cannot find one, so I've called them. Apparently it was a one off product made for Halfords last year and no longer in production...

I'm interested to know what it looks like and what it does, and I'll see if I can track down a similar product.

Cheers
Jon

There's a device called a Mighty Tite which Halfords should still stock. That's used to tension seatbelts holding child seats, but I couldn't tell you whether it works on the Cerb because I haven't tried. IIRC, didn't Beemer have one of these? Beemer!

A ratchet type strap tightens round the buckle end of the seatbelt. A clip fits onto the end of this ratchet strap with another strap with a buckle on the end (like on a booster seat) that fits around the seatbelt and pulls it in at the shoulder. I know, it really is a crap description!

A real shame that it is now discontinued as my sister also wanted to get one.

Jon - if you want a photocopy of the sales diagram mail me your address through my profile & I'll pop one in the post.

I had a recaro from halfords in my cerb. It was good for 9mths through to 2.5yrs. After that the seats with a seatbelt adaptor was fine. The recaro was over £200 if I remember correctly!!! But it does foldup and fit in the boot.
