Have had a buzzing coming from the back of the car two or three times after starting up. Any ideas ?

Could be petrol pump, thats located in the top of one of the rear wheels arches, and can usually be heard 'priming' up when you turn on the ignition. I have on the odd occasion heard the pump after start up but seems to go soon after.

I got that one too Markys, sound like the old leccy aerial going up doesn't do it every time and i'm assuming fuel pump.

Me too.

Had it 3 to 4 times in the old car and once in the new.

Always sounded like a signal cutting across the stereo
(like when you drive into Heathrow) but it always went
after about 2 seconds.

Ive heard this several times in mine. Only seems to happen when the fuel guage is getting near the quarter. Fuel pumps usually get noisy when there struggling to find fuel. Take it as an early warning sign to fill up.

Same on mine. Think it's the fuel pump cavitating.
