Hi,

I've started looking for TVR no.2, but I'm having a bit of difficulty sourcing the right car. I'm specifically after a 2000 model year plus Speed 6 Cerbera - but not a blue one!!!!

My preference would be for a Titanium/Silver car with burgundy or red interior, or a Californian sage/Wild Oyster with matching interior. I'd prefer the car to have already had the factory engine rebuild, and the new clutch which is sooooo light compared to the old. High miles are preferred too as I'm a believer in frequent all year use=better reliability.

If anyone knows of a suitable car coming up for sale, please let me know.

Thanks

ps - Bandit - have you STILL got that blue Sp6?

Yes, and there are always just Blue Sp6's! County TVR have a 02 year for £26k which still hasn't shifted for over a month. If I wasn't so picky about the colours I'd have been sorted ages ago!

I've seen a few about, what sort of budget do you have and how far will you travel?

I'm based in Scotland, but for the right car I'd go anywhere in the UK. Max limit £28k, so that should cover me for 2000-2002 models.

I'm currently using Autotrader, E&M, Pistonheads and the club to look. Occasionally I'll trawl all the dealers, but apart from missing out on a lovely Silver Sp6 at Offord I've not seen anything suitable.

Without getting into the usual debates, and which one is best, have a look at the V8's as well.

Sorry Kojak, I know exactly what I want, and the slower steering rack, softer suspension and 6 cyl engine is more suited to what I want to use the car for. I'm aware of the reliability issues and I'll have a fighting fund available for this. You trackday warriors enjoy the V8's!

Hi Keimille,

Yep, I've still got the Blue Speed Six...three years and lots of bills later !

Might have to sell soon though as may be relocating to California. Can't believe someone else may get to enjoy all the mods, fixes and upgrades that I've put onto the car

Well done on choosing the Speed Six though. Fantastic car when its on song. Hope you find the one you're looking for.

where aboot in scotland? there was one at Glenvarigill a couple of months back. Burgunday colour with 6K on the clock. If they've still got it you should be able to strike a deal! Hang on let me check.............

Shit! its sold.

Hi Jamster,

I'm near Cupar, but I used to be in Dalgety Bay & I know Willie Ball. I had a Ruby Mica Chim 400 for 3 years and took part in some of the TVRCC Scotland jaunts, including the legendary Rheims, Geneva, Modena, Monza, Stelvio & Nurburgring trip.

If I get a Sp6 I'll start turning up at the club meets again, but at the moment I feel like a bit of a fraud in a Diesel Estate!!!

I'm in Dalgety bay 2! I've never had a chance to go to any of these meetings at Dunnikier as I play golf on Saturday mornings/afternoon. Dont worry about the diesel estate, i've got a white M reg rover 414si pile of monkey! Well noticeable due to multiple bashes on every panel(put there by the previous woman owner I may add!)
Once you get the beast drop me a mail. Should be in dunfermline by that time as I'm moving house next week. Arghhh new neighbours to try and stay friendly with! 'Come on now trev be quiet going up the driveway, Hector(ma rover) and the whole street are sleepin!!'

Hmmm, not any more!!!

Shezam!
