My bank account is a lot emptier, my garage is a lot fuller, I have used a lot of Optimax and I now have a little patch of Rosso Pearl paint on the edge of my garage door.
These are some of the highlights and lowlights of my last 36 hours during which I collected my first TVR. Dream fulfilled!
200 miles in a 4.5 Cerbera may be common place to you guys but to me, a newbie, it was awesome. I was a little sceptical about some of the comments made by others on PH about how good the Cerb is but now it all slots neatley into place.
Major highlight was last night driving up through Cheddar gorge with the widows down and nothing else on the road.(If you haven't tried the run you must!)
Major low point was putting the near immaculate car away in the garge just now and scuffing the front wing on the door - nice 2" rub mark - still I need an excuse to get the lights converted and now I have one.
Body shop here we come.
Seth.

Compared to the Evo the Cerb is in a different league. Not one to knock the Evo though as through the windy bits the Evo would have left the tiv for dead. But put it on the sweeping straights at the top of the Mendips and the tiv is way ahead.
What it has shown is that both cars are very quick but they need completely different roads and driving skills to bring out their best. The Cerb seems to relish fast long sweeping roads with good progressive corners (ooh I am looking forward to the blat to Le Mans). The Evo however liked the tight and twisty stop/start roads - I guess thats the differece between a GT and a rally car!?
All that said I'm still finding my way with the Cerb so give me a few weeks and some more Optimax and I may change my tune.

Way to go Seth!
Where did you get the car from in the end?
Thanks for the info for TCR, profile on there now.
If you fancy writing a comparison review EVO vs Cerbera,
I'd be happy to have it on the site.
Have fun!

Private sale - someone who advertised in Auto Trader. He had the car for the past 4 years (1 owner before that) and had done about 9k miles in those 4 years (21k in total).
The car is spotless (apart from the ding on the front wing courtesy of me at 3pm today!) and is just about as perfect as they get
. I had Rob Ingleby have a look at the car for me who gave it a glowing report. V pleased so far.
Love to give you a Cerb v Evo piece for the site - mail me what kind of info/examples of others you want - I like to put pen to paper!
