PistonHeads Annual Service to go ahead in August

Event update following the devastating fire at Bicester Motion

Everyone at PH was deeply saddened by news of the fire at Bicester Motion on Thursday 15 May, which tragically led to the deaths of two firefighters and a local businessman.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the friends and families of Dave Chester - who ran Chesters & Sons - and of Jennie Logan and Martyn Sadler, the two firefighters who died fighting the blaze. Their selfless dedication to protecting the public will not be forgotten.

Since the events of May 15, we have been in consultation with Bicester Motion, and with careful consideration, the PistonHeads Annual Service event will go ahead as planned on Saturday 9 August. We will be fundrasing for both the Fire Fighters Charity and the Go Fund Me page set up to support Dave Chester’s family on the day.

For anyone purchasing tickets, there will be an option to make a donation during checkout. For existing ticket holders, you can donate to the Fire Fighter Charity here and to the Dave Chester GoFundMe here.

Maybe its the recent influx of modded escorts with larger rims ... but that looks really odd on those tiny wheels

I am certain it was on the application but I cant remember what it was, any idea when display car applications will be informed if they have made the cut?

NB - Will be my first Annual Service visit as well, very much looking forward to this

One of the highlights of the summer for me

Get to meet some of my PH friends who travel to it , see some amazing cars, and then walk the car park .

Also get to meet some of the PH dogs..

You'll get to park on one of the lawns dotted throughout the venue, so right in the main bit rather than in the car park ( though to be honest the performance car parking is pretty close anyway, and arguably just as interesting to walk around! )

You also get a free ticket for a passenger and a coffee on arrival ( apparently - don't remember that last year but sometimes I can't remember what I

Sorry, what was the question again? biggrin

I've had an email, but I'm not sure which car got accepted... or maybe both (a man can dream!)
