Angouleme 2026 Circuit des Remparts and Rallye Int. Charente
Discussion
Just been trying to book tickets on the main website https://www.circuitdesremparts.com/prochaine-editi... in search of grandstand tickets. Only one left which is not much use when there are 2 of you. I have never managed to get grandstand tickets but I am more organised this time so hoped I might be early enough.
I guess they are block booked by tour operators. I have been 3 times over the year and gone DIY as we camp. Does anyone know if any of the tour operators do ticket only deals?
As for the Rallye International Charente, in the past I have followed the rallye as the main stopping points are provided in the local free paper. I would like to consider taking part this year. The main website does not have a section for entries, either for the rallye or the racing.
Does anyone know if there is a separate site for entries or is it too early?

When I last went to Angouleme in 2023, we had put an extra day into the schedule on the way down. After a recommendation on this site we used that day to visit the Manoir de l'Automobile at Loheac which is between Rennes and St Nazaire.
To say the museum was worth a detour is an extreme understatement. There were over 400 cars on display with the odd airplane and boat thrown in for good measure. Many of them were cars you rarely see. Not exclusively French. There are 2 Lamborghini Miuras and a Ferrari 250GT for instance. With so many cars to get through it is fortunate that the details of each one is limited to its identity.
Does anyone have a suggestion of somewhere to visit this time? We cross to Caen so western France is preferred.

Slightly out of your way but apparently there's a Matra Museum https://www.museematra.com/ or taking a slightly different approach there's the U boat pens at St Nazaire which sound phenomenal to see
