Castle Combe Sunday Service | 20/04

Easter weekend, Castle Combe and the new Morgan Supersport. Sign up here to join us

Our next Sunday Service is coming to you from the West Country’s home of motorsport, Castle Combe Circuit - and we’re bringing along some friends…

You may have seen our most recent poll, “Sunday Service Easter Sunday - yay or nay?”. Well, following an overwhelming ‘Yay’ vote from you, the PHers, our events team has been hard at work to bring you a new event.

Our Easter Sunday Service will be hosted at Castle Combe Circuit on 20 April, which has recently undergone development work both on and off the track.  While we won’t be flying around the circuit - noise regulations and all that - we’ll be making use of the start/finish straight, pit-lane and paddock for the morning.

We’ll be joined by our friends from Williams Automobiles who’ll be showcasing the all-new Morgan Supersport. If you missed the launch, you can read about the new flagship here.  For Morgan fans this’ll be a great chance to get up close and personal.

That’s not all, as Castle Combe will also have a Caterham simulator running in the garage for budding racers, or simply the more competitive.  Apart from that, you can expect the usual mix of marvellous machinery and good company (and some cracking country roads on the way in).

Light refreshments, drinks and breakfast will be available on arrival from the Castle Combe Cafe. As always, please only sign up if you’re 100 per cent sure you can make it. To join our next Sunday Service, please click here. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Where: Castle Combe, Upper Castle Combe, Chippenham SN14 7EY

Looking forward to this, I know there won’t be any track action but having never visited it will be good to see what’s there.

Has someone let Merlin Motorsport know?

It could be worth their while opening to satiate the retail therapy desires of those attending. biggrin

This is perfect timing for me as I'm staying with the In Laws just down the road in Badminton for Easter.
Used to be my local circuit.

If I come on a motorbike do I still have to book a place?

It will be a shame to take up a place that could be used by a car.

A great track and lovely area, for those of you who haven't ventured down this way before, the beautiful city of Bath is literally a 10-15 min drive away . . . well worth a visit !

We've double checked with the circuit, unfortunately they have a strict no dogs (except registered guide dogs) policy.

Is it okay just to turn up on the day?
I am on the reserve list, I'm not worried about showing my car.

I wonder if they actually enforce it though. I was at Goodwood last week for the members meeting testing day and all of their emails had said they have a strict no dogs policy. But I still saw a woman wondering around the paddock with a crazy labradoodle on a lead.

You'll still need to sign up to the list to attend - it is now full but I expect there'll be some drop outs closer to the time next week.

Can us locals walk in and take a look around, given I failed to book a car or two in on time? Thanks
