First time I’ve been and tbh will be the last wasn’t worth the ticket price (£35) viewing area too small so was heaving making it hard to see f’all grandstand packed in like sardines /children unattended dangerously standing on wheelie bins to get a look ..a commentator that kept referencing Harvey price for a cheap laugh was bad taste and not appropriate and idiots ‘sending it’ along the narrow roads inches from people coming/leaving the venue so more like ‘cringe fest’ to me!..just my 2p’s worth but on the good side plenty of eye candy on show and for me the McLaren P1 has still got it .

Events like this rarely are, they are usually well advertised and funded and just an easy way to get money out of people, much like Supercar experience days, you see and publicise the word and print money

You only need to dig into Everyman a little bit tom see this

Interesting to see the replies as I went yesterday with my teenage sons, nephew and brother in law. We enjoyed it! I thought the viewing area was OK, all things considered, plus lots of static displays. I hadn't witnessed the McMurtry first hand before - wow that thing is incredible!

Lots of rare and exotic cars to look at. Whilst I enjoy a good exhaust note, revving cars off the limiter isn't my thing but each to their own. Yes there was some knobbish behaviour on the road outside but sadly not an uncommon occurrence at lots of car meets.

I didn't think the entrance fee was unreasonable for what the show offered. Have you been to Silverstone lately? Or booked concert tickets or taken the family out for dinner? Had a few pints down the pub?

I don't remember the last time I went out to eat the other guests bought the food and wine, but maybe that's just me.

We went, it was OK. We parked in the Supercar parking area. Several interesting cars there to look at, have to say the indian street food stall was great, curry and masala chips - yum.

Praga guy was happy to talk to us about the car, we got nerdy about design bits which he liked, the rotating wipers were an interesting solution.
Mercedes AMG one, never seen one in the flesh, we took the opportunity to walk around it and have a good look, next to the AM hypercar offerings.

Some interesting cars and prices in the auction. Plenty of model varients to look at and compare.

We got there about 8:30, was ready to leave by 2pm. They could have made more of the runway, better display of speeds etc.

We went and this was the third year in a row for us. We enjoyed it and treat it as a family weekend break. We stay at the Silverstone hotel, or one of the lodges, and see some track action there. Breakfast in the morning and then a leisurely drive to the event so no queuing to get in. Had a good walk around and see some of the runway action. Our 2 young boys love it.

I get that there are idiots leaving the site, which is dangerous when the road and paths are so narrow there. Unfortunately, it is inevitable where there are hoards of kids with iphones and Youtube channels outside the exits. They play up to it and it happens at most main car events.

Personally I prefer the Beulieu Supercar Weekend. (August)
Commercial yes: But not over commercial, much more relaxed, better access and access to the museum and house of course.

It has more of a car meet feel to it for me.
