PistonHeads On The Beach Sunday Service | 24/05

Ready to kick off summer the right way? You absolutely must check this out...

Sunglasses at the ready because on Sunday May 24th we’re bringing you a special edition Sunday Service: PistonHeads On The Beach! Acting as the official warm-up party for the 2026 PistonHeads Annual Service, this is one bank holiday weekender you absolutely cannot miss. Grab your display car ticket here

We’ll be heading to Brighton and taking over Madeira Drive, a venue steeped in over a century of motoring heritage. Make no mistake, this mile-long stretch of the south coast is legendary. From serving as the finish line for countless London to Brighton runs to hosting the Brighton Speed Trials, it’s the perfect stage for a PH takeover.

To make this happen, we’ve teamed up with Brighton Council for a full road closure, ensuring a massive, uninterrupted display of up to 400 phenomenal cars, complemented by fantastic local vendors and businesses.

Expect an incredible mix of metal on display. We’re bringing along a powerhouse selection of exhibitors from this year’s Annual Service, including: Regal Autosport, Charles & Dean, Howden Insurance, Zeronine Design and many more. Our auctions team will also be on hand should you be thinking about selling your car.

Here’s the crucial bit: space is strictly limited to 400 cars. And because closing down iconic beachfront roads on a bank holiday doesn't come free, we are charging for display car tickets. But don't worry, we've made sure it's an absolute bargain - display tickets are just £10.00 per vehicle (plus an Eventbrite booking fee). Yes, you read that right: that is genuinely cheaper than standard summer parking.

Given the hallowed piece of real estate we're using, we cannot allow access to any display cars without a ticket on the day. Which means that if you arrive without a ticket on your app or a physical printout, you will be turned away. Please plan ahead! Ticketed vehicles can roll in from 08:45 to 09:30. To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone, departures will open from 11:30. The event wraps up at 12:00.

You only need a ticket for the display car; passengers get in free. In fact, if you plan on arriving by foot or prefer to park somewhere else, the event is entirely free to attend and open to the public! Dogs are more than welcome, too, although we kindly ask that they remain on their leads when in the display car area.

Tickets are officially on sale now. Secure your spot, polish up your pride and joy, and we’ll see you at PistonHeads On The Beach!

Thanks for organising guys, looking forward to it. Fair play to the council for full road closure. It’s been a shame to lose the speed trials so nice to see the community getting catered to in other ways.

We'll open up the exit routes from 11:30 (but marshals are on hand for anyone who needs to leave before then). While the cycle lane will need to be vacated, you can still use the normal parking spaces throughout the day. Normal parking charges will apply from when the road fully reopens.

Apparently you can't park in the Marina multistorey car park (which is a short walk from Madeira Drive) for 4 hours for free, unless you 'use' the Marina (like nip into ASDA for a sarnie...).

Says who? tongue out but in reality there's literally no cameras laugh there's cars that have been in there for weeks on end. Whereas the Asda carpark does indeed have very strict cameras so i'd 100% go for it in the Marina car park
