After running a diagnostic, what’s the standard procedure? Should all errors be cleared, including the stored ones? I took my Mercedes to the garage for a new intake manifold, but when I got it back, it still wasn’t running properly. I decided to run my own diagnostic and found that there were still errors in the system. When I spoke to the garage, they mentioned that they don’t clear errors on Mercedes vehicles. I figured that clearing the errors would help flag any ongoing issues, right? Or am I misunderstanding something here? By the way, are the errors listed in the diagnostic report I received after the car was returned current or just stored?

Usually I think most delete all after reading/noting and see what comes back as historical/stored codes may be from somewhere in the annals of history.
