Ok it was cheap and I know these can be trouble, someone in the village has it stuck in their garage and was looking for scrap money, I said I’ll have it unseen, I’ve not seen the car yet.
All I know so far is it’s a Mini cooper convertible, I think 11 plate. It was running but engine lights came on and I think overheating.
Some wires have been disconnected and they are not sure where they go as the connections are the same and reach different plugs. And I think it’s around 50k miles.
Hopefully I’ll get it home this week and start investigating.

Not started that well, I went to collect but the battery was showing 0 volts and the steering lock wouldn’t disengage with a booster battery. (It’s in a lock up so couldn't manoeuvre it out)
On a plus note it is a 2011 cooper S with 54k on the clock.
New battery ordered and I’ll try again when it arrives.

Which booster pack did you use? Just so its useful to know which one (or type) NOT to buy.

I didn’t see the booster so can’t help sorry.
Good news is it’s not a non runner, new battery arrived (thanks Tanya) popped that on and it started so I drove it the 100yds home.
Bad bits,
No coolant, everything loose or unplugged around it, Pattern thermostat housing fitted but apparently its not right.
I have the old original part so I think I'll get the pattern one of and start from there.
