Is it OK to put concentrated coolant into the engine without diluting it?
What would be the consequences?

Assuming you aren't putting it into a system with 100% anti-freeze in it, then you are diluting it by putting it in.

Slight aside, but if you filled the system with neat antifreeze - be aware it won't be as effective at protection against frost!

Ethylene glycol freezes at about -12degC; its only when mixed with water in the right proportions that the freezing point of the mix gets depressed down to better than -40. Strange but true. Not necessarily a problem in the UK, but in many other countries it is.

Thanks for the replies.
The system is empty as there appears to be a leak.
I bought some Xstream G48 coolant from Halfords and poured the whole bottle in. Only then did I realise that it was concentrate and the instructions say it should be diluted with distilled water (which I don't have!).

Don't worry about it. Do keep an eye on cooolant level over time, obviously.
