Hey guys,

I am fitting a new intercooler and it means moving the condenser to a more vertical position. As a result I need to bend the air con pipe on the lower right of the condenser.

What's the best way of doing this without disconnecting it?

Bend it where and by how much?

The pipe looks to be ali so in principle should bend easily but if it is old it may have age hardened.

It needs to bend upwards so that the condenser sits at a more vertical angle, as the new intercooler needs to sit between it and the front bumper. Annoyingly the instructions are in Japanese and don't seem to cover moving the condenser.

Just bend it. If it breaks have it repaired.

Or have a flexible section made up ( although there is a flexible part already on it that might allow some adjustment. )

Can't really see from the angle of that pic, would it be possible to simply (sounds easy when you say it quickly) move the mounting at the end of the flexy so that the re-position is actually taken up by the flexible section rather than the solid section?

I ask because (as above) ally is renowned for becoming brittle due to age and I doubt would bend & remain intact.

Personly i would undo the bracket where the flexy ends and the hard line starts and twiat it till the hard line is at the correct angle, probably just the one bolt on the chassis rail so loosen it, twist the bracket and tighten it up ?
