Hi all. My girlfriend has a 58plate Mk3 focus titanium 1.8tdci with 58k on clock. Every now n then if coughs (losing power briefly) and twice now the engine management and traction control light has come on only clearing when engine is stoped and restarted. Its had a full service inc fuel filter. Is there anything else i could look for? Any help would be appreciated. 😄

Given the traction control lights comes on it could be an intermittent signal from a wheel speed sensor (BMW's very common for this), or given the EML has come on, it's easily possible that the EGR valve is playing up.
Get a code read on these 2 systems and post them on here, and we'll have a better idea.

Cheers
