Anyone familiar with oil filter housing change on VAG diesel

Hi folks, my 1.6tdi Passat has a water leak at the oil filter housing where it connects to the engine block.

Has anyone much experience of this time wise it looks like a fair bit might need stripped before it can be removed?

Any thoughts appreciated!

Will need to be removed from underneath on a ramp, or axle stands.

Sorry just to add it’s a 2012 B7, ok that’s doable, my impression was it would go out upward on my car?
